The works of Daniel Lergon (b. 1978) feature sumptuous abstract motifs and the use of special materials that play with the juxtaposition of light and painting. They are painted not with conventional paints, but with transparent lacquers, metal powders, and water on special grounds. This gives rise to pictures that look completely different depending on the viewer's standpoint.
