Founded by Charles Booth-Clibborn in 1986, The Paragon Press has gained an international reputation as one of the leading publishers of artists' prints. Based in London, The Paragon Press specialises in producing portfolios and series of prints in cooperation with some of the most renowned contemporary artists. The artists are invited by Charles Booth-Clibborn and given the freedom to realise their ideas in print, working with a number of workshops and printers and in a broad variety of media. The Paragon Press has become synonymous with the most creative and compelling imagery being published today.
Included, amongst others, in this volume are Damien Hirst's spin etching portfolios In a Spin, The Action of the World on Things, Vols. I and II, and Grayson Perry's etching Map of an Englishman.
The range of artists Charles Booth-Clibborn works with stretches across generations from Alan Davie and the late Terry Frost through to Jake and Dinos Chapman and Gary Hume as well as a younger generation of artists such as Gillian Carnegie and George Shaw.
The thirty-one projects by eighteen artists presented in this volume provide an extraordinary overview of the British Art scene at the beginning of the Twenty First
Century each project is lavishly illustrated in colour and accompanied by detailed descriptions. In addition, the book includes essays for each of the publications based on interviews with the artists. It is an invaluable resource for scholars, collectors and enthusiasts of contemporary art.

Great selection, amazing value, fast/efficient delivery. Highly recommend!
Lovely books at a great price, delivered really quickly and very well packaged.
I haven't used this book yet, but as a novice oil painter, it will be very helpful in learning techniques used by the masters, albeit quite basic approaches and styles. It gives step-by-step guidance via illustrated tutorials, basic information such as equipment and the colours to use in each exercise areprovided. What could possibly go wrong?
This is a comprehensive overview of works of art from earliest times until the late 20th century. It's immediately accessible to read and engaging. My only grumble is that many of the photos are small and in black and white. The text and the works themselves merit better treatment, but that would make this already weighty tome unmanageable and prohibitively expensive. I'm very pleased with this book and will enjoy it.
A lovely book, found by chance and given as a gift.
Bought as Present and they loved its unique format
Fascinating and good comparative text and images.
Excellent book, in depth text and plates that I haven't seen before, perfect!
Great book about the man of 60s music
Beautiful book - made a great gift. Thank you x
I bought to wrap up presents but it somehow felt wrong to cut up these wonderful graphic designs!
Great. Rapidio!
Another great read
A great read
