This beautifully produced book from Julie Doucet uses an amalgamation of drawing, painting, collage and narrative to present a visionary meditation on love, life, and luggage.

Julie Doucet (b. 1965) is a Canadian underground cartoonist and artist. Long known as ‘the female Robert Crumb’, she began her confrontational and controversial comic work in 1987 with a minicomic called Dirty Plotte before a further 12 issues were professionally published between 1991 and 1998. In 1998 Julie abandoned the comic book medium and went back to printing woodcuts, linocuts, silkscreen printing, followed by an abundant production of artist’s books.

A brilliant book about a nearly-forgotten band

A brilliant book about a nearly-forgotten band, but thankfully this book rectifies that. Written by the surviving drummer and bassist, it is full of stories about their time in Hamburg & touring round Germany & Japan. A must for anyone who loves the Liverpool Merseybeat scene and the hard-driving music it produced.

Photo-book

The book was quite a hefty one for the price. The photographs were magnificent portraying city scenes at night when human life was absent, giving the places a life of their own.
It just wants me to take my camera phone out and explore the city streets I've in,at night.

A wonderful survey

Beautiful Book

Lovely book with top quality pictures and a wonderful overview of all aspects of Tom’s art.
Also comes complete with a thought provoking introduction from Tom, and a wonderful critique/synopsis of Tom’s background art philosophy from James Fox.
