In Outside the Box: Hand-Drawn Packagingfrom around the World, Gail Anderson lovingly gathers forty projects by graphic designers, illustrators, and hand letterers for global brands such as Coca-Cola, Chipotle Mexican Grill, and Jameson Irish Whiskey, as well as local, independent clients such as Marias Packaged Goods & Community Bar in Chicago; Bienbebido in La Rioja, Spain; and Julaquavit in Visby, Sweden.

Anderson shares her self-proclaimed infatuation with hand-drawn lettering through thoughtful interviews, sketches from the designers, and a wealth of full colour images, revealing the working processes and inspirations behind each package.

Gail Anderson is a former senior art director for Rolling Stone and a partner at Anderson Newton Design, an award-winning and multidisciplinary agency in New York City

30-day return policy

  • You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
  • The item must be in the same condition that you received it.
  • You will have to pay for return postage costs.

To request a return:

  • email details to guy@booksaboutart.co.uk
  • If your return is accepted, we'll send instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Refunds
