Christian Marclay

Over the past 40 years, Christian Marclay has explored the fusion of fine art and audio cultures, transforming sound and music into a visible, physical form through performance, collage, sculpture, installation, photography and video.

Probably best known for his 2010 work The Clock - a looped 24-hour video montage of scenes from film and television that feature clocks or timepieces. The artwork itself functions as a clock: its presentation is synchronised with the local time, resulting in the time shown in a scene being the actual time.
